With the New Year Holiday falling on a Monday, trash and recycle pick-up will be delayed one day.  Monday pick-up will be on Tuesday, and Tuesday pick-up will be on Wednesday.

Tax payments can be made at the Village Hall, Port Washington State Bank (Thiensville Branch) or BMO Harris Bank (Thiensville Branch).

Port Washington State will be closed on Monday, January 1st.  Refunds will be given right away.

BMO Harris Bank will be closed on Monday, January 1st.  No refunds will be issued at BMO Harris Bank.
Mequon Thiensville Historical Society

Mequon-Thiensville Historical Society 2018 Calendars

The Mequon-Thiensville Historical Society is pleased to announce their 2018 historic photo calendar underwritten by Suburban Harley.  One calendar will be given to each MTHS member for no charge.  Non-members can choose to purchase a calendar for $5, or join MTHS for as little as $15 and receive a 2018 historic photo calendar as a bonus.  Calendars and memberships make great gifts for friends, neighbors and colleagues.

Calendars and memberships are available at the Village Hall, Suburban Harley, Port Washington State Bank (Thiensville Branch) or the MTHS office at 216 Green Bay Road on Thursday afternoons.  Calendars are also available by emailing the Historical Society at or calling 262-242-3107.

Dog and Cat Licenses

Dog and Cat License

Your pet license is required to be renewed every calendar year.  License applications can be submitted starting in December for the following year.  Payments made after April 1st of the license year will be charged a $5.00 late fee.

Download the dog or cat license and submit with fees to the Village Clerk.

Fees are as follows:
Un-neutered Male = $15.00
Neutered Male = $10.00
Un-spayed Female = $15.00
Spayed Female = $10.00

Every person residing in the Village who owns a dog or cat which is more than five months of age shall comply in all respects with the provisions of Wis. Stats. Chapter 174, except that a cat will be licensed in compliance with Chapter 174 of the Wisconsin Statutes as though said statues were equally applicable to a cat.  Application for a dog or cat license shall be accompanied by the amount established by resolution and on file in the Village Clerk's office.  No license shall be issued for any dog or cat over the age of five months unless the applicant presents a certificate that the dog or cat has been inoculated for rabies by a licensed veterinarian prior to such application and the certificate is valid for the license period.  The license shall be secured to a collar and the collar shall be on the dog or cat at all times when off the premises of the owner.
