The Village of Thiensville has been named as the ninth-best community in Wisconsin to buy a house. The ranking is from Niche.com, which recently named the Village as one of the top Midwest communities to live in.

The profile of the Village noted that Thiensville offers a "suburban feel" in a community where most residents own their homes. The ranking also highlighted Village amenities, including the park, restaurants, coffee shops and a highly-rated school district.

The ranking was based on a number of areas, including schools, housing, crime & safety, nightlife, diversity and a family-friendly atmosphere.
