The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Milwaukee River. At 7:00 AM Monday the Stage was 10.0 Feet at Pioneer Road in Mequon. Flood Stage is 11.0 feet. Record flooding is forecast. The Milwaukee River is forecasted to rise to near 14.1 feet by midnight tonight. Additional rainfall is also expected in the next 48 hours. This forecasted level exceeds the record high water experienced in June 2008.
Areas along the Milwaukee River will be impacted. Do not attempt to enter any flooded structure or drive through flooded roadways. In an emergency call 911. Village Public Works, Police and Fire Departments will be on standby to respond to emergencies.
Sandbags and sand are available on the east side of the Public Works building located at 132 West Freistadt Road.
