The Village as part of the master plan is considering an ice skating trail to increase winter use of the park. Would you use it?

It would nice for the path to be a certain distance (ex. 1/2 mile) so people can track how far they walk or jog.

This is our favorite park/playground in the area (kids are 2 and 4). A few things set it apart from other playgrounds. 1) FULL SHADE almost all day. The mature trees are a huge asset. They make it so pleasant to be in the park. 2) Multi-age play equipment with challenging features. Other playgrounds can feel boring in comparison because they are so safe/inclusive/restrictive. 3) Long walking path away from cars. Great for strolling and chatting.
I think it could be a lot of fun to have a fountain similar to Bayshore Mall or an ice skating path as proposed on this site. What about a water feature that is more like a stream? Something like the FDR Memorial in DC or the dry stream bed at Mequon Nature Preserve. Any of those things would contribute to making the park something special and different from others in the area.
Winter park activities are especially interesting to me. We love playing outdoors in all weather. I'd love to see more ideas about how to better facilitate that.
