Join the
Thiensville Fire Department for Breakfast with Santa


Enjoy Breakfast with Santa at the the Thiensville Fire Department from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Dec. 8.

Families attending the breakfast are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the Holiday Toy Drive. Firefighters will deliver the toys to Kapco's Kids2Kids Christmas Toy Drive.

The breakfast includes pancakes, sausage and a drink. The cost is $7 or $5 for children age 6 and younger.

Santa will be available for photos. A donation is requested for the photos. All proceeds will go to Thiensville Fire Department Inc. New this year -- all photos will be digital and emailed directly to the family. Credit and debit cards are accepted.

Turkey Trot set for 15th anniversary
race on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28


For the 15th year in a row, the Junior Woman's Club of Mequon-Thiensville will host the Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk Race on Thanksgiving morning.

The Run/Walk begins at 9 a.m. in Thiensville's Village Park. A 50-meter Kids' Gobble Dash will take place at 10 a.m.

Race packets may be picked up from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27 in Village Park. Packet pick-up also will take place prior to the race from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.

This year, proceeds from the Turkey Trot benefit Family Sharing of Ozaukee County, the Frank L. Weyenberg Library, Interfaith Caregivers of Ozaukee County and Possibility Playground.

Thiensville Tree Lighting 2018

Thiensville tree lighting and holiday market to take place Friday, Dec. 6


The Thiensville Business Association presents the annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Market on Friday, Dec. 6.

The event will take place in the Walgreen's parking lot at the corner of Main Street and Freistadt Road from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The family event includes singing carols, a performance by the Homestead High School Choir and the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus on a Thiensville fire truck.

Another highlight -- the holiday market -- will be back this year.

There will be free cookies and hot chocolate.

Sunday's M-T Historical Society
annual meeting focuses on WWII


The Mequon-Thiensville Historical Society is remembering World War II at its annual meeting this Sunday, Nov. 17.

The meeting will take place at the Mequon Nature Preserve, 8200 W. County Line Road in Mequon, starting at 1:30 p.m. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LOCATION HAS BEEN CHANGED from earlier announcements in order to accommodate the number of people expected to attend. A brief annual meeting will take place prior to the presentation.

The goal of the meeting is to share the history of WWII that belongs to the community -- the stories of those who served overseas and those who supported the war efforts here at home.

Keynote speaker Allan Buchholz will discuss the roles played by Thiensville residents during WWII.

If you would like to share your memories -- or those of your relatives or friends -- contact Fay Walker at (262) 242-3107. The MTHS is looking for people to share stories and artifacts as part of a panel of speakers at the annual meeting.

showcases new PWSB River Stage


Residents in Thiensville and Mequon recently received the latest issue of M-T Today in the mail.

The magazine's cover story is about the ribbon-cutting for the new Port Washington State Bank River Stage. It occurred Saturday, Sept. 14, during the first-ever Chillin' in the 'Ville celebration. The stage is the latest accomplishment for Village Park ReImagined.
