Chillin' in the 'Ville celebrates new
Port Washington State Bank River Stage
on Sept. 14 in Village Park
A special family-friendly community event on Saturday, Sept. 14, hosted by the Thiensville Business Association in cooperation with Village Park ReImagined, will celebrate the opening of the Port Washington State Bank River Stage in Thiensville’s Village Park.
A full afternoon and evening of food, music and fun activities begins at 3 p.m. with dancing and karaoke with DJ Matt. The event includes various children’s activities and an opportunity to get a professional family photo for a $20 donation to the park.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 5 p.m. will precede an evening of music on the brand-new stage. The Dan Lloyd Group takes the stage at 5:15 p.m. with a jazz performance. Simply id follows at 7 p.m. with a mix of popular hits.
Advance tickets for the event are $25 for adults and $10 for children to age 12. Tickets are available at Thiensville Village Hall, 250 Elm St., or any PWSB branch. PWSB customers may purchase adult tickets for $20 at the bank. Tickets at the gate will be $30 for adults and $15 for children.
Ticketed guests can taste and vote for local restaurants and caterers who will compete for the honor of Best Chili and Best Mac ‘n Cheese.
Businesses participating in the competition include Shully’s Cuisine & Events, Remington’s River Inn, Prime Minister, Chuck’s Place, Ferrante’s Restaurant, That Taco Guy, Crave Bar and Silverado North Shore.
Beer, wine, soda and water will be available for purchase.
Proceeds from Chillin’ in the ’Ville will go toward the splash pad, the next park upgrade planned by Village Park ReImagined. The Port Washington State Bank River Stage was completed in late June. It already has been used for several concerts in Village Park.
