Traffic on Cedarburg Road from Thiensville north to Cedarburg will be impacted for the remainder of the summer by a city of Mequon road construction project.

Crews will be milling the pavement and installing a new layer of asphalt. The project  includes culvert replacement, ditch repairs and tree trimming. Work will  run until Nov. 15. Drivers will be able to travel through the construction zone throughout the the project, although the road is closed to thru-traffic.

While the posted detour sends northbound motorists west on Frestadt Road, all businesses on North Main Street in Thiensville remain open and may be accessed easily by drivers.
