2018 Safety Town

Registration is open
for Safety Town


The annual Safety Town program for children entering 5K in fall will take place from July 22 through Aug. 2. There will be two sessions. The first runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; the second, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Attendance is required for both weeks. Classes will be held at Steffen Middle School in Mequon.

Registration started Monday and continues until July 5 or until the limit of 42 children per session is reached. The fee is $25. Registration forms can be found online at www.village.thiensville.wi.us. Registration may be dropped off or mailed.

The event is put on by the Mequon-Thiensville Optimist Club, the Thiensville Police Department and the Mequon Police Department.

Traveling Food Truck Tour
returns to Village Park June 13


Thiensville's Traveling Food Truck Tour made the first stop of the season in Village Park this past Thursday. 

The next date will be Thursday, June 13. There will be 20 food truck with a wide variety of food choices, a craft beer tent and children's activities. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The food trucks will return July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 12.

Rummage Sale Art

Village Rummage Sale
set for Saturday, June 22


The popular annual Thiensville Rummage Sale returns Saturday, June 22 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Maps with addresses of all locations throughout the village will be available by June 14 at Village Hall, 250 Elm St., and on the Thiensville Business Association website and the TBA Facebook page.

The cost to be listed on the map is $10. Submissions are due by June 13. Please email submissions to robertjkos1@gmail.com. Include your name and address. Make payments to Thiensville Business Association Inc., P.O. Box 185, Thiensville WI 53092.

Get ready for
Screen on the Green

A new season of Screen on the Green begins in Village Park in July -- this year, on the just-completed Port Washington State Bank River Stage.

"How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" will be shown Thursday, July 18.

"The Lego Movie: The Second Part" will be shown Thursday, Aug. 15.

Both films begin at 8:30 p.m. The event is free!

Please keep trash, recycling
bins out of plain view


Just a reminder that trash and recycling should be at the curb ready for pickup by 7 a.m. on your designated pickup day.

Once the collections are made, a Village ordinance requires containers be taken back into your garage or otherwise kept out of plain view.
