Thiensville Fire Department

Notes from your Fire Department:

  • We Need You!  The Thiensville Fire Department is very much in need of Firefighters/EMT’s who reside in the Village.  Don’t have training…. Don’t worry! We will provide the training and equipment, you will provide the commitment to the most rewarding part-time job you will ever have!  If you are interested in learning more or joining our team of professional men and women, please go the Village of Thiensville website.  Simply go to the Fire Department section of the Village’s website and apply online today!
  • Summer is approaching quickly!  If you are contemplating putting an in-ground fire pit in your yard this year, please call Fire Chief Brian Reiels (242-3393) prior to starting your project for approval of the location. This free service will provide the safest enjoyment of your fire pit for years to come.  Remember burning of yard waste (leaves, brush, etc.) is illegal in the Village.
  • Reminder if you live in a condo complex or apartment building, it is illegal to have a grill on or below a balcony according to the state fire code below:

10.11.6.1 For other than one- and two-family dwellings, no hibachi, grill, or other similar devices used for cooking, heating, or any other purpose shall be used or kindled on any balcony, under any overhanging portion, or within 10 ft of any structure.

Have a happy and safe summer season!
