Boat launch improvements
begin in Village Park

Work on the next major improvement to Village Park started this week. The project involves expanding and replacing portions of the boat launch. Plans include adding a kayak launch, a floating pier and fish habitat structures.

The work, which will be completed by the end of September, includes enhancements to the shoreline, natural landscaping and other work that will improve the quality of storm-water runoff from the parking lot. An asphalt path will be added along the boat launch and shore to encourage public access. Half of the project cost is funded by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

Abominable this Saturday

This summer's second Screen on the Green will feature Abominable this Saturday, Aug. 15. The film will be shown from the Port Washington State Bank River Stage in Village Park starting at 8:30 PM. Screen on the Green is sponsored by Port Washington State Bank.

Village Market continues

Thiensville's Village Market is open! The best farmer's market on the North Shore takes place from 9 AM to 3 PM in Village Park every Tuesday through Oct. 13.
