Ron Heinritz proclamation 4-21-20

Ron Heinritz honored for
25 years of service as Village Trustee

The Thiensville Village Board recognized Ron Heinritz for a quarter century of service to Thiensville as a Village Trustee.

Village President Van Mobley presented Heinritz with a proclamation thanking Heinritz for his service during Monday's Village Board meeting. Heinritz was first elected as a Village Trustee in 1995 and had been re-elected ever since.

Heinritz took a keen interest in Village history and has served for years as the chairman of the Village's Historic Preservation Commission. In that role, he assisted Village residents and business owners in preserving their properties and the charm of Thiensville's Historic District.

Jennifer Abraham joins Village Board;
Rob Holyoke re-elected

Jennifer Abraham was elected earlier this month to a three-year term as a Village Trustee. She is a life-long Village resident. She recently retired after a 30-year career as a dentist with a practice in Thiensville.

Abraham already serves as a member of the Historic Preservation Commission.

Rob Holyoke, who is now the longest-serving member of the Village Board, also was re-elected  to another term. He has served as a Trustee since 1996. He also was re-elected to his second term as the Village's representative on the Ozaukee County Board.

Through the years, Holyoke also has served on numerous boards and commissions. He currently is a member of the Frank L. Weyenberg Library Board.

Improvements planned for
Sunny Lane and Oakwood Drive

The Village will begin a paving and storm sewer project in the 400 block of Oakwood Drive and the 300 block of Sunny Lane.

The project includes installing a new storm sewer -- including pipes, manholes and catch basins -- from Oakwood Drive to Laurel Lane on Sunny Lane. Other work includes ditching, tree trimming and new asphalt. We Energies will replace the main gas lines in the area ahead of new asphalt.

The project is being funded by the Village's capital improvements budget. The project is expected to be completed in early June.
